Hey there guys. As you might have already noticed there's been a bit of a change to the layout of articles. This is because I have just changed the comment system used on our site to a much better one. Unfortunately this means that all of your previous glowing witticisms have disappeared. So you'll all just have to comment even more to make up for it.
Our new system, MX Comment, is much better because... well. It works. You should now be able to post images and links without getting error messages. There is also a couple of other nice features that I'll let you discover on your own.
Obviously there are still some issues to be worked out, the layout needs some serious tweaking and some of the buttons will probably be changed. But until then please bear with me, I don't have the endless amounts of time that I wish I did to be working on the site.
Anyway, please enjoy the new system. It's nice when things work how they're supposed to and this one works much better than the previous one. Play nice.
This weekend sees fans of animals, anthropomorphics and other creatures coming in from everywhere to converge on Melbourne for MiDFur – the Melbourne in December Furmeet. The gathering will see anthropomorphic animal geeks (aka furries) coming in from all around the country (and some from outside the country) to hang out and have fun.
The weekend starts on Friday (14th December) at a dinner at Sophia’s in Camberwell and then MiDFur continues through until Sunday evening with walkarounds, lasertag, parties and more on the agenda. There will also be fursuit golf, for those who like to add the inability to see and big fuzzy gloves to their golfing handicap.
Last week Angry Gamer wrote an article that said that that Brisbane based game developer Auran was in financial trouble. Angry Gamer reported that many of the Auran staff would not have employment after the week was out.
I thought I lived in a house. I was wrong. It seems that I actually reside underneath a giant rock on Mars with my fingers in my ears as I was (until now) completely unaware that Mythbusters was back on television. For those who are equally unaware, guess what? Mythbusters is back on television. In this most excellent series a team of special effects geeks put myths and legends to the test to see if they’re possible or impossible. Tonight they put ninjas to the test and next week they’ll be tackling pirate myths. Yes, the ninjas versus pirates debate is old. But who cares, Mythbusters is awesome.
You can catch Mythbusters on SBS each Monday at 7:30pm.
Next weekend at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music is Unearthing Eden; a concert playing the music of Kō Ōtani, a composer for films, animation, games and anime. His most known work is his score for Shadow of the Colossus. The concert is happening twice daily at 3pm and 7pm on both Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th.
